Advanced Diploma in Applied Fashion Design & Technology (LMT60306)
The AIFD Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Technology course offers students intensive training in fashion design processes including advanced design and product development, pattern making, couture garment construction, computer aided design and pattern making, business operations, management and marketing to give students the skills to work in their chosen area of the fashion industry. The course is designed to give students valuable business and management skills along with their technical and design skills to enable students to undertake high level managerial positions or give students the skills to start and run their own business.
The course is taught by trainers who have had vast experience (the majority with over 20 years experience) working within the fashion industry and most of whom still currently work within the industry. This gives our gives students the ability to gain valuable insights from trainers with real industry experience and benefit from their experiences, knowledge and industry contacts.
During the course students will have the opportunity to enter into various fashion design competitions and show their work at various fashion parades and events. By participating in these competitions and events students will
challenge their creative potential and receive invaluable experience. Students also have the opportunity of visiting industry only events such as Australian Fashion Week and Fashion Exposed during the course of their study. Our students also participate in work placement during their study with us, which again offers students more valuable experience in the fashion industry.

To apply for the Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Technology, please follow the steps listed below:
-Fill out an Application Form,
-Arrange a time for an Interview by phoning us on (07) 55 203 557,
-Successful applicants will receive an acceptance letter in the mail, along with an enrolment form, a student handbook detailing our policies and procedures and an application form for the student loan.
-To enrol - return the enrolment form with payment for the non-refundable course deposit and student loan application form if applicable.
Students are NOT required to present a portfolio of designs for entry, but for those prospective students who have done any previous work, we ask to see copies of any of their work at the interview. Students who have completed previous study should bring copies of their certificates/statements of attainment to the interview
